September 2nd 1973, an exciting time for a mother and father to be. Their first baby and so much anticipation.
Labour begins, without pain relief, as mum wants a natural birth; dad by her side. Waters finally break and things start to happen. “I’m afraid we need you to leave the room Mr Boden, we need to get the consultant in.” Dad leaves the delivery suite and is confused, “but I’m needed, my wife, the baby?” “I’m really sorry Mr Boden but we believe that the baby is going to be still born, there have been complications in the womb with the placenta, we do not believe that the baby will be born alive.” Dad left in disbelief and got on his knees and prayed to his Saviour, the Lord Jesus for mercy and a miracle. Some time later, mother and living baby are wheeled out on the hospital ward. Mother, smiling and rejoicing, sees dad and says, “'allelujah”, meaning praise the Lord. A name in the bible is often very significant. Names have meanings, and in the Bible often depict the story of that person's life or character, for me to be named Allé after the phrase ‘praise the Lord’, (allelujah) is an honour. All glory belongs to the Lord God for giving me life that day, 2nd September 1973. It is my privilege to spend my life constantly praising Him and giving glory to the giver of life not only physically but spiritually too, for He has given me eternal life through His son Jesus Christ, life everlasting. Praise HIS Name ! Allé Pflaumer
