Dear Church Family, As we begin a new year, it is fitting that we pause and consider what truly matters most in the life of the church. Programmes, plans, and good intentions all have their place - but none of them can replace the central work of prayer. Simply put, a church that does not pray together will not grow together, and it will not thrive in the way God intends. This month, we will again set aside time for our annual Week of Prayer. This is not just another event on the calendar. It is a deliberate opportunity to realign our hearts, renew our dependence on the Lord, and remind ourselves that everything we do flows from seeking Him first. Scripture repeatedly shows us that God’s people moved forward not by their own strength, but by gathering together to pray. Prayer was never meant to be a private discipline only. While personal prayer is vital, there is something powerful and formative about meeting together - lifting our voices, our burdens and our hopes before God as one body. When we pray together, we declare that we are not self-sufficient, that we need the Lord and we need one another.
I urge you to make every effort to be present during our Week of Prayer. Rearrange your schedule if necessary. Come even if you feel tired. Come even if you’re unsure what to say. Your presence matters. Your prayers matter. And your willingness to gather says something important about what you believe God can do among us. As we step into 2026, let us be a church that chooses what is most important. Let us meet together. Let us pray together. And let us trust God to do what only He can do when His people humble themselves and seek His face. With hope and expectation, Pastor Your browser does not support viewing this document.
