Wigmore Evangelical Free Church is a Baptist, Bible believing fellowship, meeting in Wigmore, Kent for over 80 Years.
We believe that the only way to God is by His grace in calling sinners to faith and repentance in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, God's son, was sent to the world to be righteous, and live a perfect life. He was thus the only suitable sacrifice and, in perfect obedience, submitted to God the Father's will by being Crucified on Calvary's cross, but He rose again from the dead on the third day, conquering Sin and death. Salvation is by God's Grace alone and cannot be achieved by any works that we may do. We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - who loves us, His children. We also believe that God is a God of Justice, and those who reject the salvation He offers will one day face Him as their Judge. Wigmore Evangelical Free Church is a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches and our beliefs are summarised in more detail on the FIEC website. We also affirm The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. You can also find our statement of faith on our 'About Us' page |
